All of the photos were taken in June of 2016 of the property itself and the surrounding views. It was quiet as can be on this property with a few crickets here and there with several desert trees and tall native grass and plants with just a few cactus in bloom. This was such a beautiful property and with all of the land I have explored in this area this one was by far my favorite parcel itself. This chunk of land and the surrounding area of Unit 7 traveling to and from the parcel has some of the most character of anywhere in Rio Rancho and very unique!
This parcel is unique also due to the 1.6 acres as most Lots in Rio Rancho are only 0.5 acres. It is also locate close to town, but far enough away for privacy as well. Views of the Sandia mountains to the W and because the property is uniquely elevated there are views of Rio Rancho and Albuquerque in the distance. I bet there are amazing sunsets and views of the lights in the distance at night from the high points! Such a cool property! The photos don’t do it justice.
For the price, size, uniqueness, terrain, character, views, privacy, etc, this is one of the better properties to purchase throughout all of Rio Rancho in my opinion and I have seen the entire subdivision!
There was growth to the NE, E, and S so I suspect in 3-5 years there will be better access to this area. For the 1st drive out to the property I would recommend a 4x4 as the road does have some areas in need of improvement, but I was in a jeep and I was NOT using 4x4 so it can be done with a small truck. A car may not be enough though. I rented a jeep in town.
